Last month I went to San Diego and got to go snorkeling in La Jolla. I love La Jolla! The water is always so blue and it's so much fun to see the sea lions laying out on the rocks.

Month of July

I have been trying to decide how I want to work my blog. It would be easy and boring enough to just post pictures of my illustrations but I was hoping to be a little more creative than that. I think I have decided to do an illustration journal. Each month I am going to create an illustration that reflects what I have been up to.

The illustration I created makes it look like I either played dress up or went to the Middle East. Both of those probably would have been cooler than what I really did. I graduated and went home to Utah where I am now bumming off of my parents until I can successfully transition into an adult.  (These things take time ya know). Since the terrible awful (my graduation), I have been building a website to use as my portfolio. You can look up elyseferons.wix.com/elyseferons for now but really REALLY soon it will be elyseferons.com (my brother Ryan Ferons is hooking me up with a sweeter website).

As I was looking through my drawings and paintings I found a line drawing that I particularly liked so I decided to create the painting to put in my portfolio. One thing I have been wanting to do is create a painting without relying on lines to suggest form so here it is! I hope you all like it. ( I am also adding the line drawing so you can see where it all started from.
